Traffic is ever-increasing. A challenge? The businesses, knowledge institutes, and student teams of the Automotive Campus mostly see opportunities. They are working hard to change the future of mobility with the high-tech solutions. The Netherlands is the perfect place to start: a small and densely populated country with a complex road network. There's a good reason that the Hightech Systems & Materials (HTSM) sector is amply represented on the campus. Organisations such as TNO, Altran, VDL, TASS, and Rijkswaterstaat (the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management) share their knowledge and work together to innovate. Effective partnerships with the Dutch high-tech top are also easily made here, in the heart of the Brainport region. The close collaborations with companies such as Philips, NXP, TomTom, DAF, and the Eindhoven University of Technology create the smart mobility solutions of tomorrow.
Smart mobility is the solution to keep society safer, more accessible, and habitable. Online platforms for shared car usage. Integrated Wi-Fi-points which allow vehicles to communicate with each other and the roads. Or tools and algorithms that collect traffic information from social media in real time. These are some of the groundbreaking technologies being developed and tested at the Automotive Campus. Our community offers everything needed to do so. A high level of knowledge. Effective partnerships. And all the facilities needed for virtual and real-life testing. This makes the campus the hotspot for anyone working on smart mobility solutions.
Thanks to the campus' many test and research facilities, the technologies being developed here can immediately be tested and researched extensively. International businesses and governments are also regularly invited to watch the tests. With these and hundreds of other activities every year, we stimulate the sharing of knowledge, open innovation, and collaboration. There's a reason that the campus is internationally highly regarded in the world of mobility.
