After more than two years of developing, researching and building, team InMotion has finally been able to show the car to its direct partners and team members. InMotion is a student team, affiliated with Eindhoven University of Technology, and is located at Automotive Campus. InMotion consists of more than 50 ambitious students who are developing their 'Electric Refueling' technology. They are doing this in the form of building an electric LMP3 racing car. This technology makes it possible to charge an electric car as fast as you can fill up a gasoline car.
Prior to the unveiling of the new car, a networking event was organized for all partners, to present their 'problems' and issues. After this very successful online event, the car was unveiled to the partners and team members through a live stream.
What are the next steps for the team? In the coming months, the car will be extensively tested and improved in order to achieve the first goal: charging in 7.5 minutes. In the spring, InMotion will present its new car with 'Electric-Refueling' technology to the outside world. Until then, we will all have to do it with the sneak peeks.
InMotion's roadmap doesn't stop here! The 'Electric-Refueling' technology will be further developed over the next two years and will be demonstrated in the extreme conditions of the world famous Le Mans 24h in 2023.
