With good courage and full of ambition we started the year 2020 last January. Projects were in the pipeline, visits were planned and with our recently realized new restoration facilities, we had an excellent basis for organizing events. Fast Forward to the present but the year went a bit different. The Automotive sector has not had an easy time recent years, but new developments in the field of sustainability (decarbonization) and digitization also offer opportunities.
For many of us the year has been tough, both business and private. However, dwelling for a long time on the past, which I cannot change, is not in my nature. Looking ahead, making new plans and being ready when we can and may again. That is what we have to do.
The finishing touches are currently being put on the central park, which has slowly but surely taken shape. And also the new premises of Delta Electronics will be delivered in the first quarter of 2021, followed by the new premises of Summa just before the summer.
Much of our attention next year will be focused on strengthening the campus community. We want to further professionalize the communication with the campus residents and visitors and also organize events, as soon as we are allowed to do so again. I would like to see the campus buzzing again; students with great initiatives, demonstrations on the campus and plenty of visitors. These are important ingredients for a vibrant campus, where you want to work and be part of. A breeding ground for cooperation and innovation!
